Certifications & Trainings

  • I have attended over 345 births in both home and hospital settings as part of my training through the North American Registry of Midwives’ Personal Portfolio Process (PEP) apprenticeship. Throughout this journey, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside 16 experienced midwives, gaining valuable insight and a well-rounded foundation in midwifery care across diverse birth environments

  • BLS (Basic Life Saving) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) are vital for homebirth midwives, ensuring they can handle emergencies with skill and confidence. These certifications must be kept current and renewed every two years to maintain the highest standard of care.

  • Rebecca has completed the “Breech without Borders” training in O’Fallon, MO in June of 2023 under the instruction of Dr. David Hayes.

    Rebecca also completed the “Breech and Twins Master Class” with Kristine Lauria in Ann Arbor, MI in September of 2024.

    Lastly, she is scheduled to take the Breech Without Borders class in Indianapolis with Dr. Hartung in November of 2025.

  • Rebecca completed Dr. Stuart Fischbein’s “Reteach Breech” class at Sacred Song Homebirth in Overland Park, KS in September of 2022.

    Rebecca has had the privilege of attending 10 breech births out of hospital and is a breech mom herself.

  • Rebecca completed the Birth Emergency Skills Training in Detroit, MI in August of 2023.

  • Rebecca is enrolled in the Breech Release workshop with Nicole Morales that is scheduled in Kansas City in April of 2025.
